For example, my camera, the quite astonishing Nikon D3S allows me to shoot at a whopping ISO 102,400! Let's go back 3 years, if anyone suggested ISO 1600 they'd be called ludicrous because the noise would ruin the image. Nowadays, I can shoot ISO 4000 without any noise problems...
